


The Internazionali BNL D'Italia in Rome is a Masters Series 1000 event, combining both men’s and women’s tournaments over two weeks (the men's event is played over the first week and the women over the second). It is played on the clay courts of the Foro Italica and represents one of Europe's most prestigious and traditional clay court titles.
As a Masters Series event it has always attracted a very strong line-up from both the men's and women's fields. Last year's event was won by Novak Djokovic and Jelena Jankovic.
As a key staging point in terms of preparation for the French Open in Paris, Rome again in 2009 promises to attract the very best players in the world and in the setting of the historic Foro Italico will one of the unmissable events of the European tour.
Ticket prices for the early part of the week are between £10-30 for the day sessions (depending on position in the stadium) and £25-90 for the evening sessions. For the semi-finals and finals expect to pay £30-150. Exclusive Suites courtside are also available at higher prices if required.
